Parental Controls

Disclaimer: FANCCI is meant to be an adult-only platform for safe and sex-positive adult viewing and adult content only. Protecting our users and the integrity of our platform is something we take very seriously.

FANCCI is rated RTA for full compliance with the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP), and is only available to those 18 and older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

Access to our platform is limited to those who expressly state that, as is spelled out in our Terms of Service:

To assist with the enforcement of our terms and enforcement of restrictions against minors, all FANCCI pages have been made fully RTA [Restricted to Adults] compliant, and easily blockable via simple-to-use parental control tools.

In this digital era, we encourage parents to monitor their children online & use parental controls if appropriate in order to protect your children. This has always been our position, that the diversity of tools already present in modern operating systems and devices gives parents the best means of policing their children’s activity.

Therefore, we have listed down some simple do and don'ts on providing limited access to your child against inappropriate content.

How to create a child-friendly Internet

Fortunately, a lot of tools are available for parents to make the internet safer for their children. The ISPs, together with device producers and OS engineers, have structured a basic method to setup parent control. That each one are created using basic step by step directions that you will only have to follow once, putting you in command over your children internet surfing habits beyond a basic supervision.

FANCCI has Restricted to Adults tags that cause all such controls to automatically block our site when activated by parents.

Desktop Services - Settings Parental Control

Parental controls are integrated into all major operating systems and can be set up in a matter of minutes. Take, for example, Microsoft Windows 10, where it is easy for a parent to set up their kids as other accounts, limiting which apps and programs can be launched, as well as easily blocking inappropriate websites with the click of a button.

More information is available from the Microsoft Family Safety site here.

Other Apple devices like Macs/iPads/iPhones have the same parental controls and you can turn on these settings by following the tips on Apple’s Groups Families page.

Mobile Device Parental Control Settings

In the new world where most children are using their very own personal devices to connect to the internet, mobile operating systems offer tools that allow parents to be squarely in control of their children’s browsing behavior.

Apple's iOS devices like the iPhones and iPads can restrict inappropriate content, limit screen time, and stop installs of apps without permission. Apple also has a Families page which contains the info as well.

Similar protections are built into Android devices, including smartphones and tablets, making it easier for parents to decide what their children can see and do on the personal gadgets. You'll be guided through the setup in the Google Safety Centre.

Internet Service Providers

All, but maybe one or two Internet Service Providers (ISPs), provides protections to restrict which websites are available to your home and handheld device. These type of services prevent any traffic to unsuitable sites, and are typically enabled through your ISP account online. Just get in touch with your ISP and they will guide you how to turn on their content blocks.

So, we will look at standalone parental control software

Apart from the basic free parental controls provided by operating systems, device manufacturers, and ISPs, many third-party parental control apps are also available. The list below is not exhaustive:
